The owner and founder of Bushmans Quiver Safari, Stephan vd Merwe grew up in the northern Bushveld of the Limpopo province, South Africa. He has been involved in hunting, fishing and wild life for more than 25 years and became a professional hunter in 1995.
Our base camp is situated in the Waterberg area close to Mookgophong which is about an hour and a half’s drive from Johannesburg International Airport. We have access to over 50000 hectares (120000 acres) of prestine bushveld which has been carefully selected for a wide variety of exceptional trophies.
The diversity of landscape that the hunting grounds have to offer reaches down to all your senses and we cater for any type of hunter whether you are physically handicapped or a hunter that only hunts on foot.

Marinus Smith: Marinus is a family man who has truly got the full understanding of what Africa and its wildness is all about! He’s been in the hunting and wildlife industry for over 20 years, and his knowledge of the wild will truly amaze you. Marinus will share all his experiences with you as honest and truthful as only he can. What a privilege it is to have Marinus in our team.
